At the 2017 Summer Hoot at the Ashokan Center in Olivebridge, NY, with help from Ulster BOCES' inverters, our 3.96 kW ground mounted off-grid PV system provided power to The Summer Hoot. (It's actually 2 x 1.98 kW, 210 Ah --amp hour--24 Volt off-grid systems.). This system can take a small house off of the grid.
The Solar Charging Station is a 240W, 12 Volt, 100 Ah off-grid system. It has 15 Amp, 110 Volt AC output (about enough energy to run a household refrigerator and a couple of lights).
The array on the right is an educational array consisting of 2 x 75 Watt, 17 Volt DC output solar panels. Each is wired to a DC fan. The array enables Hoot kids of all ages to play with tilt angles and/or block the sun to see how power production is effected.
